Did you know that Indiana is this nation’s 14th largest state, yet we have the 4th largest National Guard? That should tell you all that you need to know about the patriotism of the men and women of the Hoosier state. Over 20,000 of Indiana’s warriors have been sent into harm’s way since 9/11 and when they return, many face significant hurdles toward the process of re-integration into a non-combat lifestyle.
Founded by comedian and Army Vet Jon Stites, OPERATION COMEDY seeks to strengthen the ties between Indiana veterans and the communities to which they return, through a night of laughter and recognition. Several hundred tickets to each event are donated to Hoosier heroes returning from the Middle East so that they can enjoy a show on par with any they might see in Vegas, Hollywood or on HBO. A portion of the proceeds (after expenses) is donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. OPERATION COMEDY features an unsurpassed line-up of four nationally touring, home run-hitting laugh machines, each of whom is capable of carrying a show on their own. This line-up has something for everyone and is as solid a bill as can be seen anywhere in the country. We kick ass. Period.
OPERATION COMEDY is not just a comedy tour, it is a movement. We owe our heroes a debt of honor, and we will not default. You can hate the war, but DO NOT hate the warrior. We have donated almost $40,000 worth of tickets to members of Indiana’s military. OPERATION COMEDY has the full support of the Wounded Warrior Project.

A great thing you are doing. I beleive it is the best way to move thru changes. Laughter is the best medicine. The only medicine one can self medicate without “issues”. I’m very proud to be a Hoosier and an American. I will spread the word of how awesome y’all are.
